Research Study Participation Agreement

This Research Study Participation Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Clockwork Innovations, hereinafter referred to as the "Researcher," and yourself, hereinafter referred to as the "Participant," collectively referred to as the "Parties."

1. Purpose of the Study: The Participant agrees to participate in a research study conducted by the Researcher, which aims to evaluate and rate a set of dermatoscopic images.
2. Nature of the Study: The Participant acknowledges and understands that their participation in the study involves reviewing and rating dermatoscopic images provided by the Researcher. The Participant agrees to adhere to the guidelines, protocols, and instructions provided by the Researcher regarding the assessment of these images.
3. Voluntary Participation: The Participant confirms that their participation in this research study is voluntary. The Participant understands that they may withdraw from the study at any time without providing any reason and without any negative consequences.
4. Confidentiality and Data Protection:
   1. The Participant acknowledges that the dermatoscopic images and any related information provided by the Researcher are strictly confidential and are solely for research purposes.
   2. The Participant agrees not to disclose, share, or disseminate the dermatoscopic images or any information related to the study with any third parties without prior written consent from the Researcher.
   3. The Participant understands that the Researcher will ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of all collected data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
5. Risks and Benefits:
   1. The Participant understands and acknowledges that there may be potential risks associated with reviewing and rating dermatoscopic images, including but not limited to potential psychological discomfort or distress.
   2. The Participant acknowledges that no direct benefits are guaranteed by participating in this research study. However, the Participant understands that their contribution may contribute to the advancement of dermatological research.
6. Use of Data:
   1. The Participant agrees that the data collected during the study, including their ratings and any other relevant information, may be used by the Researcher for research purposes, including but not limited to analysis, publication, and dissemination of findings.
   2. The Participant understands that any data used for research purposes will be anonymized and aggregated, ensuring that their personal identity remains confidential.
7. Compensation: The Participant understands that no monetary compensation will be provided for their participation in this research study.
8. Contact Information: The Participant acknowledges and agrees to provide accurate and up-to-date contact information to the Researcher for study-related communication.
9. Questions and Concerns: The Participant understands that they have the right to ask questions, seek clarification, or express any concerns regarding the study at any time. The Participant can contact the Researcher using the provided contact information.
10. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the State of California.
